This position contributes to JUVA’s success by providing superior customer service to all customers. This job creates the JUVA Experience for our guests by providing them with prompt service, quality products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. A JUVA barista should model and act in accordance with JUVA’s mission and values.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the mission, values and culture of JUVA.
Maintains a calm demeanor during peak sales periods or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to the Bar Manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the JUVA Experience during each shift.
Assists with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
Contributes to the positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in team member morale and performance and communicates these changes to the Bar Manager.
Delivers superior customer service to all customers by embracing the customer comes first attitude and creating a connection with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
Follows JUVA’s policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety and security of fellow team members during each shift.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that team members can locate resources and products as needed.
Provides quality products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and preparation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitization guidelines for all products.
Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
JUVA is looking for a dynamic people who have experience in a high-volume service environment. We’re looking for someone who has a strong interest in nutritional smoothies and cold-pressed juices.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, nights and/or holidays.
Meet store operating policies and procedures including providing quality products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
Comply with a dress code that prohibits displaying tattoos, piercings in excess of two per ear, and unnatural hair colors, such as blue or pink.
Prepare products to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as substituted ingredients.
Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.
